BUSINESS PROFILE

Better Health Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine is a Chinese healthcare clinic that integrates Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Nutritional Therapy and Asian Bodywork to address a multitude of health issues.
Acupuncture is used for a variety of medical purposes ranging from the prevention and treatment of disease, to relieving pain and restoring energy.  Acupuncture stimulates the immune system, improves circulation and blood pressure, balances secretion of gastric acid, and maintains a healthy production of red and white cells.  It also stimulates the release of a variety of hormones that help the body to respond to injury and stress.  Acupuncture works to optimize performance of all body systems, often eliminating the need for more aggressive Western therapies.
Chinese Herbology is a system of herbal treatment.  Chinese Herbal Medicine was developed as an integral part of Chinese Medicine.  It is used to re-harmonize imbalances in the body. The internal imbalance that is causing the imbalance is  determined, and then the appropriate group of herbs is combined to treat the problem.
Chinese herbal formulas tend to be much gentler than western medicines, and work to relieve symptoms, as well as, to help restore balance to the body, so that herbs will not be needed further. That is why we often modify the herbs as treatment continues, since the body starts to shift towards being healthier, and therefore the herbs are modified to meet the changing needs of the body.  There are few to no side effects from Chinese herbs.
A nutritional plan will be provided to help the body eliminate disease and restore balance based on the individual’s pattern of health.
Asian Bodywork is used to support the other therapies and to eliminate pain.
